Static Web Sites: HTML and CSS
I have over a decade of experience with professional web design. I specialize in converting a flat or layered image to standards-compliant HTML and CSS. I create HTML that passes W3C validation, follow accessibility guidelines, and is ready for search engine optimization. I have done graphic design in the past but I prefer working with a designer to create the images and palettes. I am experienced with WordPress themes.
Dynamic Web Sites: PHP/MySQL/Javascript
I am well versed in small-scale web development using PHP, MySQL, and Javascript (including AJAX). Examples I have built from the ground up: blog system, content management system, portfolio management system, accounting ledger system, computer lab usage tracking and reporting system, game rules proof of concept, newspaper collection browse system, various calendars, various reporting systems, blog RSS generation, iTunes Podcast feed generation. I have worked with APIs for Google Maps, Google Calendar, and Twitter.
Database Design Consulting: SQL
I speak SQL. If you need expert insight on tables, relationships, data types, and keys for your project please contact me. Note, I do not have experience in wildly scaling or multiserver databases.
3D Content Creation: Blender
I create low-poly props and characters, usually for real-time video game rendering or previsualizations. My proficiencies include low poly mesh creation, UV mapping, normal mapping and baking, simple diffuse textures, simple rigging and animation. I also have experience with making watertight, manifold meshes for rapid-prototype 3D printing.
Small Video Games: C++ and SDL
I have dabbled in video game programming for nearly two decades. I am availble for small, downloadable video game creation. I use C++ and SDL and have experience making cross-platform games (Windows, OSX, Linux). I do not yet have experience with mobile game development but the platform I work in is compatible with iPhone, Droid, and other systems.
